Why did you become a dentist?
I grew up with a dream of being in healthcare with having to choose between either going into medicine or pursuing dentistry. After a lot of research and after having to go through multiple dental appointments during my school years, it made me easier to opt the dental route. Dentistry back then was mainly male dominant especially where I grew up and I was quite skeptical of how it would be to be a female dentist. This whole perception changed when I stumbled upon a female dentist. Every visit to her office for treatment was a pleasant experience. I would always come back happy and motivated each time. I was beyond fascinated of how well she was balancing her professional and personal life. Above all, I couldn’t be more convinced of how impactful this profession is and the difference you can make in people’s life.
Interesting Facts
I have been married to my husband for almost 10 years now. We moved to Kansas 5 years ago and this is where my son was born so Kansas will always have a special place in our heart. I love to spend time with my family as much as I can. In addition, I like to try out different cuisines, travel, and sing a song now and then.
