Why did you become a dentist?
My passion for dentistry grew as a teenager when I visited my dentist and was attracted to the way dentistry was performed. During my high school years I noticed there was a significant lack of education in my community for preventive dental health and I desired to help my community. My artistic skills and passion for medical science lead me to pursue an education in dentistry.
Interesting Facts

My time is dedicated to my family and being a mom. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and daughter through hiking, traveling, exploring new places, and cooking Indian food. I love exploring creative ways to fulfill my passion for art through painting mixed media on canvas. My childhood years in India impacted greatly my love for spirituality and now I practice various types of yoga & meditation.

Why did you become a orthodontist?
I was a pretty shy kid when I was younger and I didn't like showing off my teeth when I smiled. My orthodontist was amazing and I loved going to my adjustment appointments. I remember the day I got my braces off and the amount of confidence I gained after completing my braces. I loved showing off my teeth. That experience and the emotions I felt after I got my braces off was what led me to become an orthodontist.

I have a Labradoodle named Theo. My favorite NFL team is the Philadelphia Eagles, my favorite NBA team is the Philadelphia Sixers. I enjoy running, biking, cooking, and basketball. I've completed multiple marathons.

Why did you become a dentist?
I've wanted to be a dentist since my very first dental visit at the age of 4. I had a wonderful dental experience as a child and want our little bosses to have the same positive experience at the dentist. I am also fortunate to be able to serve families in the same neighborhood where I grew up, plus I've even been able to do outreach programs at my former elementary school here in Aurora!
Interesting Facts

I am an Air Force brat so I have lived in many different places growing up, but I lived the longest here in Aurora, CO. I graduated from Cherokee Hill High School then left for Texas where I lived for 4 years while I attended Baylor University. While in Texas I met my husband and he moved back to Colorado with me so I could attend dental school at CU. We now live in Parker with our daughter who was just born in January of this year!

Why did you become a optometrist?
I became an eye doctor because I remember getting my first pair of glasses in elementary school and how amazing it was to finally see the details everyone else was seeing. I got more interested in pediatrics specifically when my younger brother needed surgery at only a year old and I came along to his appointments to see how they could take care of such a little one.
Interesting Facts

I grew up in the Midwest in Missouri and have always enjoyed music and playing the bass and clarinet. My husband and I love hiking and backpacking here in Colorado. We can't wait to take our one year old on the trails.

Why did you become a optometrist?
I have always been interested in working in the health care field. I worked as a vision tech at a private practice optometry clinic while in undergrad. I really enjoyed learning as much as I could from the optometrists while I was there and decided to continue learning by going to optometry school.

Why did you become a dentist?
I chose a career in dentistry after being inspired by my own orthodontist as a child. I think dentistry is an awesome vehicle to serve others.
Interesting Facts

I am married and the proud mommy of a nine year old daughter and a six year old son. When I'm not practicing dentistry you can find me at my second job, a private chauffer for my kids (ha!) shuttling them to dance, piano, karate or soccer practice. My family enjoys traveling, hiking, or producing our own little musicals. In my spare time, I absolutely love to either sing jazz or channel Beyonce and dance like no one is watching!

Why did you become a dentist?
I first was interested in dentistry when I was about 8 years old. My dad's best friend J. Stringfellow is a dentist and he never failed to make my sister and I feel welcomed at his office. He treated us kindly which left a strong impression on my sister and I. We would both later pursue dental careers. My interest was childish and naive at first, but fortunately through volunteer assisting and education, it developed into a mature appreciation for the occupation.
Interesting Facts

I love practicing Beethoven piano sonatas. I am a slow learner and the reward of learning a new piece is so worth the struggle. I have two cats named Chippy & Cherry, they are the sweetest girls I've ever known. Once of my favorite things to do in Denver is go watch the Nuggets play.
